Safety Education Notice for Students of the College of Mining at Guizhou University

To collectively maintain the normal order of teaching, work, and life at the school, create a good learning and living environment, ensure the safety of our lives and property as well as our physical and mental health, and build a safe campus, we provide the following safety reminders according to relevant national laws, regulations, and school rules:

 

1. Consciously abide by the national constitution, laws, and regulations, and maintain national security and stability. Be cautious with your words and actions; do not make statements that damage the image of the Party and the country. Uphold science, resist cults, and do not engage in any religious activities on campus.

 

2. Consciously follow civic moral standards, comply with the Code of Conduct for College Students, and abide by the relevant regulations in the Guizhou University Student Handbook. Develop good moral qualities and behavior habits.

 

3. Firmly avoid behaviors that violate public security regulations, such as excessive drinking, theft, fighting, drug use, and the production, dissemination, copying, or selling of illegal publications and audiovisual materials. Do not participate in any form of gambling or disguised gambling, nor provide gambling venues, funds, or tools for others.

 

4. Without school approval, do not privately organize or participate in assemblies, associations, parades, demonstrations, and other activities on campus. Do not privately post various advertisements, distribute promotional products, or recruit members on campus. Do not stay off-campus without permission. Do not host outsiders in dormitories without approval. Do not organize collective off-campus activities without authorization.

 

5. Do not visit illegal websites, browse unhealthy web pages, forward or disseminate harmful information, publish false information, or use tools to bypass internet restrictions. Do not spread rumors, believe in rumors, or create rumors. Maintain a positive attitude and promote positive energy.

 

6. Follow all school management regulations, adhere to the schedule, return to the dormitory on time, and do not stay outside the campus overnight. Strictly follow the leave system and do not leave without permission.

 

7. Do not participate in, watch, or incite fights. When conflicts or disputes arise with others, stay calm and rational, distinguish right from wrong, and report to teachers promptly. Do not seek revenge. Do not casually disclose personal or family information to others to avoid being deceived.

 

8. When experiencing psychological difficulties, proactively communicate with classmates, parents, or class advisors (counselors). If necessary, contact teachers at the school's Psychological Health Education and Counseling Center for guidance. In case of emergencies, report to the class advisor (counselor) immediately without hiding or distorting the facts. Cherish life, help each other, and never harm yourself or others.

 

9. Do not use high-power electrical appliances or prohibited devices in dormitory buildings. Strictly prohibit unauthorized electrical connections, wiring, or modifications. Do not bring or store toxic, harmful, flammable, explosive, corrosive, radioactive, or other dangerous items. Do not throw cigarette butts or other burning materials. Do not move, misuse, or damage fire-fighting equipment and facilities. Strictly prohibit using high-power illegal electrical appliances in dormitories. Do not use poor-quality power strips or connect multiple power strips in series. Ensure all electrical devices are turned off when leaving the dormitory. Strictly prohibit unauthorized connection to emergency power sources in hallways. Ensure all power sources, including chargers, are turned off when the dormitory is unoccupied.

 

10. Strictly follow traffic rules, do not run red lights, jaywalk, drive against traffic, drive under the influence of alcohol, or use illegal or unsafe transportation. Do not drive without a license, and ensure safety when riding or driving.

 

11. Strictly observe the six no-swimming rules to prevent drowning: Do not swim without permission, do not swim with others without authorization, do not swim without parental supervision, do not swim in unfamiliar waters, do not swim in reservoirs, ponds, rivers, or construction sites without safety facilities or lifeguards, and do not attempt rescue if you are not a skilled swimmer.

 

12. Do not climb over fences or buildings. Do not stay in unsafe places like corridor railings or high windows. Do not carry or store dangerous items such as controlled knives or sharp objects that are prohibited by public security authorities.
